About the Organization
Polonia of Long Island, Inc. is the largest Polish organization on Long Island, operating since 1994. The organization supports education, organizes Polish community meetings, trips, sports and language courses, and provides scholarships for students.
History
The organization was founded as "Polish Friends of Copiague" by a group of Poles in Copiague. In 2016, it participated in the New York State Assembly Session, where October was declared Polish Heritage Month. In 2017, it was honored by the Suffolk County Executive for its social activities.
Programs and Events
Polonia of Long Island organizes Polish Heritage Day, a scholarship program, and preparatory courses for the SAT exam. The organization also supports the local community through various cultural and educational events.
