About the Parish
Our Lady of Czestochowa Roman Catholic Church (OLC) is located in Jersey City’s Historic Paulus Hook District. The church was established in 1911 to serve the Polish immigrant community. Over the years, it has evolved into a truly international parish, welcoming parishioners of all ages from the USA and around the world.

History
The church building was originally constructed for St. Matthew’s Protestant Episcopal Church in 1831. It was acquired by St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in 1905 and renamed Our Lady of Czestochowa, after the famous shrine in Poland.
