About the Parish

St. Theresa of the Child Jesus, established in 1925, is a Roman Catholic parish and Archdiocesan Shrine of St. John Paul II in Linden, NJ. The parish was founded to serve the spiritual needs of the Polish community in Linden.

History

The first Mass was celebrated in 1925 for twenty people. In 1926, construction of a new church and school began. In 1954, the construction of a new church, separate from the school, commenced. The parish has undergone many renovations and expansions to accommodate the growing number of parishioners.
