Polish Supplementary School im. Władysława Reymonta in Bayonne, New Jersey, is part of the Central Office of Polish Supplementary Schools in America. The school offers education in Polish language, history and geography of Poland, as well as Polish culture and traditions. Education starts in preschool and continues up to eighth grade.
School History
The school was founded on September 19, 1992, at the New Poland Club in Bayonne. The first principal was Dorota Kirsz. Since 2007, the school has been located at the Mother of Sorrows Parish.
Patron
The patron of the school is Władysław Stanisław Reymont, a Polish writer and Nobel Prize laureate.
School Community
The school is involved in Polish-American community life, organizing events such as the Pulaski Parade and patriotic celebrations at American Częstochowa.
