About Our School
The John Paul II Polish Language School in New Haven has been operating since 1960 and is one of the largest Polish diaspora schools on the eastern seaboard of the USA. The school's goal is to teach children and youth the Polish language and familiarize them with Polish culture, history, and tradition.
Classes and Offerings
The school offers classes in both Polish and English, allowing for the study of Polish as a foreign language. Classes are held on Saturdays at New Britain High School. The school also organizes various extracurricular activities, such as dance groups and sports sections.
Faculty and Management
The school employs 37 teachers and administrative staff. The school's director is Renata Senenko, and the president of the board is Joanna Michalski.
History and Mission
Since 1999, the school has been organizing study trips around Poland, in which over 600 students have already participated. The school has been a member of the Central Polish Supplementary School Center in NY since 2005.
