About the school

Polish School of St. John Paul II on Staten Island was founded in 1994 at the Parish of St. Stanislaus Kostka. The school was established on the initiative of the then parish priest, Father Józef Tokarczyk, and with the involvement of the local community.

History

In its first year of operation, the school had 13 students. Thanks to the support of subsequent proboszczs and local leaders, the school developed, introducing new technologies and expanding its educational offerings.

Currently

The school offers Polish language instruction, history of Poland classes, and extracurricular activities such as a painting circle and theater club. Approximately 130 children attend the school, with small class sizes that foster individualized student attention.

Future plans

The school plans to continue its development, including raising the level of teaching and organizing trips and extracurricular activities to enrich students' educational experiences.
