About Us
The Polish School of St. Maximilian Maria Kolbe in Riverhead, NY, was founded on October 15, 1972. The school serves the Polish community in the eastern part of Long Island, offering education in the Polish language, learning about Polish history, geography, and traditions. Classes are held every Saturday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
School History
The school was founded thanks to the efforts of a group of parents and Father Wendy. The first classes took place on October 19, 1972, for 48 students. The school was registered by the Central Office for Supplementary Schools in America and continues its operations in the building of the parochial school at St. Isidore's Church.
School Patron
The patron of the school is St. Maximilian Maria Kolbe, who was beatified in 1971 and canonized in 1982. His life and work are an inspiration for the school community.
Activities and Events
The school organizes many events, competitions, and trips. Students participate in nativity plays, Easter breakfast, the Pulaski Parade on 5th Avenue in Manhattan, and other events.

Our faculty consists of qualified teachers from Poland who engage in teaching Polish-American children.
