St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, established in 1894, is the oldest Polish parish in New Jersey. It is located in the center of Jersey City and is known as the Sanctuary of the Miraculous Crucifix.

History
The parish was founded by the Polish community in 1884, and the current church was built in 1892. In 1895, the interior of the church was destroyed by fire, but it was rebuilt and enlarged.
