About the School

St. Stanislaus Kostka Polish Language and Culture School in Garfield, NJ, is one of the larger Polish educational institutions on the East Coast of the United States. Founded in September 1994, it provides education at the preschool, elementary, and high school levels. The school focuses on teaching the Polish language, history and geography of Poland, as well as preparing students for certification exams.

Classes and Program

Lessons take place on Friday evenings and Saturdays, in a two-shift system. The school also offers additional classes in art, music, and mathematics. Students can participate in the School Theater Club, which stages performances showcasing Polish culture and traditions.

Faculty

The teaching staff consists of qualified teachers, graduates of prestigious Polish universities. The school is headed by Mrs. Director Ewa Sadowska-Chętnik.

History

The school began operations in 1994, and in 2003 introduced classes in the three-year high school. The first high school graduation exam took place in 2007. The high school participates in Polish diaspora projects and offers scholarships to students.
