Opis wydarzenia

On June 2, 2026, recipients of this year’s edition of the Kosciuszko Foundation’s flagship Exchange to the U.S. program gathered at the residence of U.S. Ambassador to Poland Tom Rose in Warsaw for a special scholarship certificate ceremony. As this year’s scholarships were awarded, applications for the 2027/28 academic year have now officially opened. The event brought together this year’s Fellows, distinguished members of the academic community, and friends of the Foundation to celebrate an important milestone in strengthening transatlantic academic ties between Poland and the United States. The Exchange to the US program has been at the heart of the Kosciuszko Foundation’s mission almost since its founding in New York in 1925. For more than a century, the program has supported Polish scholars as they pursue research, academic projects, and professional development at leading universities and research institutions across the United States. Its long-term impact on Polish academia is undeniable. Many alumni of the program now hold prominent positions at Polish universities and research institutes, while continuing to build meaningful international partnerships. Each year, the Kosciuszko Foundation Poland plays an active role in the selection process, helping identify outstanding candidates from a wide range of academic fields. Congratulations to all of this year’s Fellows! We are proud of your achievements and confident that, like so many before you, you will return from the United States with new ideas, valuable international connections, and fresh energy to help strengthen Polish science, scholarship, and higher education. Good luck in the United States — and safe travels! Follow our updates for more information about future scholarship opportunities. Applications for the next editions of the Foundation’s programs are now open, with details available here.
