Opis wydarzenia
We are proud to share that “The Peasant Prince: Thaddeus Kosciuszko and the Age of Revolution“ by Alex Storozynski, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Kosciuszko Foundation, has been selected for the EU Ambassadors Book Collection: Words That Unite, Stories That Connect, a special initiative marking America’s 250th birthday. The collection, donated by the EU Ambassador and the 27 EU Member State Ambassadors, celebrates the enduring ties between Europe and the United States through books that reflect each nation’s spirit, heritage, and connections to America. Poland chose “The Peasant Prince,” highlighting the extraordinary legacy of Tadeusz Kosciuszko, a champion of liberty on both sides of the Atlantic. As Alex Storozynski remarked, “It’s a fantastic honor to have my Kosciuszko biography included in the EU Ambassadors Book Collection to celebrate America’s 250th birthday. Greece’s submission is “The Iliad” by Homer. France chose Alexis de Tocqueville’s classic ‘Democracy in America.’ Poland chose ‘The Peasant Prince: Thaddeus Kosciuszko and the Age of Revolution.’ To be mentioned on the same list with Homer and de Tocqueville, wow, just wow.” At the Kosciuszko Foundation, we are especially thrilled by this recognition. Together with the EU Ambassadors, we encourage everyone to discover Alex’s remarkable book and the inspiring story of a hero whose ideals of freedom, equality, and democracy remain as relevant today as ever.
