Event Description

Katarzyna Maniszewska reflects on her Kosciuszko Foundation Research Fellowship at George Washington University, which she received in August 2024. She discusses the impact of the fellowship on her research, collaborations, and professional opportunities, as well as the cultural experiences she had during her stay in the US. The fellowship allowed her to conduct research at the Program on Extremism (PoE) at George Washington University, work on a project titled "RADICALIZATION AT HIGH SPEED: TERRORISM AND THE MEDIA IN THE AGE OF AI", and publish her findings with Collegium Civitas Press in January 2025. Maniszewska emphasizes the importance of the fellowship for building bridges between Poland and the United States, as well as its role in public diplomacy efforts aimed at enhancing collaboration between the two countries.
